Yep!!! I’m back.Sup??? Homies!!!This time I’m about to write about a very peculiar experience.Something of what I’ve never tried before. It was my first experience to go for a Sunday Evening Snacks Buffet. It was between 3 p.m to 6 p.m.Actually I really don’t know what to call it.Nevertheless it was one Extravagance experience.Something organized by my Brother in law.So I just wanted to try it.Besides the whole experience was amazing. The ambience was good.So were the seating.Well organized and limited. So better to make a reservation. Now!!! coming to the food.It starts with a sandwich bar. Very well arranged and comes with some nice sandwiches. Then there is a snacks bar with a variety of savouries like pies, pastries and buns.I liked the small cute crab pie and those crispy seafood bites.Have to say that’s some variety. So when you think of a buffet it’s a better that to be starving your prior meals, if not you’ll hardly try all the items in their buffet. Then there is vegan area following with a Grill area. Those chicken wings were amazing and so was the satay.Had the maximum out of it.Following it with a pizza hub, there are two kinds of sushi and a hotdog/ Burger counter with some variety of cheese selection. And After everything is done.Eventually your sweet tooth reminds you.The dessert area!!! It was having a pancake and a waffle counter too. There are some nice dessert and but I liked the Alaska.A three layers ice cream above a thin biscuit kinda cake with some burnt whipping cream. It’s excellent. Then you get hot and cold beverages. The black current punch was awesome.I had a mint and lime tea.The best part was that they had Sri Lankan pickles like divul sambola (wood apple pickle) one of my all time favorite, veralu ( Lankan olives),etc..Never seen that anywhere else.Wow! Super sour and tasty.Yep!! Again it’s a good place for an organized family reunion or for a friends get together. It’s packed so be ready.Better to starve before you eat. Buffet matters bro!!!
Over priced for a buffet. Japanese cuisine tasted bland and the rolls selection were really bad. The Sri Lankan items were a hit and the star of the meal. Even the biriyani and curry items didn’t do justice to the price of the buffet.
Well given that its one of the cheapest buffet available in colombo food was alright. Salad bar, grilled meat and desert were the highlight. But lack of favor in mains. Could have done a better job if they stick with basics on mains. But overall satisfied dinner buffet on saturday.Do a reservation and go as it could be crowded sometime
