Sorry no food pics but we really loved our food at Ikoi. The sushi was fresh and the tempura was crisp and tasty. My husband had the katsu don bowl and enjoyed it. We would go back again if we come to Colombo.
While i was staying in colombo ,i had a very strong urge to eat some salmon and i ended up at ikoi tei ,the place is very clean, very friendly staff, good service and welcoming .Time for food,i ordered tuna and salmon sashimi and 2 sets of makis and a pork dish with rice and curry(very spicy).Sashimi was woww, the tuna sashimi was just damn good and so the salmon.Makis were good as well and the pork taste so good ,very spicy but i dont mind.Overall ,i know there is japanese restaurants all over the world but if you are in colombo ,this place is where you should go if you are looking for asian especially japanese food.
Loved everything about this place. The ambience was superb. Not too crowded, not too loud. Just perfect. We ordered Salmon Maki and chicken teri yaki. the sushis were great, a tad bit small though. The chicken teriyaki was crisp on the outside and just the right kind of tender from the inside. It went perfect with beer (weird combination, i know). The pork ramyun was just the right size topped with baby corn and boiled eggs. Loved it. Really wanted to try the Black sesame seed icecream, but we were too full by that time. 5stars for the service.Going again. soon. (:
Located in the Dutch Hospital, this is a good place for a lunch out with a group of friends or on your own. Not many people at that time so quite peaceful. (I guess it’s more crowded at night.) The ambiance of the place is quite soothing and homely. The food is excellent and filling. Loved every bit of it. The prices are at the higher end of reasonable – around LKR2000 for a person.
