This place is very disappointing the food is served in very small portions and is not at all worth the price and with so many other restaurants surrounding it that serve the similar food at the same price for much larger portion this place has failed. Go to CHINESE DRAGON OR QUICK THAI DOWN THE SAME STREET THEY SERVE GOOD FOOD AT FAIR PRICES AND THEIR PORTIONS ARE MACH LARGER! OVERALL BAD PLACE, SMALL PORTIONS, AND OKAY FOOD.DISAPPOINTING
We dined at red orchid castle lane on my wife’s B’day. The food and service both were excellent. They did have a great variety of food and friendly staff was very helpful. Thank you for making our day special and memorable.
This place is right next to the Ozo Hotel where we are staying in and whenever we work from the hotel, me and my colleague visit this place for lunch! Our favourite here is Veg Fried rice with Cashew Nut Chicken! The portions of a small rice is huge and we struggle to finish it off ! The chicken with cashew nut is delicious !! The service is great too !
Elegant, classy and tasteful, its the best way to describe this place. The atmosphere in there is great, the food is amazing, the staff are very patient and helpful and it doesn’t feel like they have a fake smile attached to their face to appease customers. It maybe a small place, but the fact that its an old house converted into a restaurant gives it an odd homely feel. The food, well i cant fault and this after 3 visits and ordering various types of food at the place. If there’s a fault in my opinion it’s their noodles. Didn’t like them much. It’s not too much on the expensive side either.Definitely recommended for a fulfilling lunch/dinner with friends/family.
This is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. We went there on a Saturday with a pax of 6, in lieu of a friend leaving overseas. Ordered their Prawn toast and batter fried baby corn as appetizers and it took them a good 30 minutes for them to bring it to us. We stepped in top the restaurant sharp at 1pm. We ordered the mains which comprised of; Seafood Thai fried rice, vegetable fried rice, five seasoned mushroom, mixed vegetable, hot butter Cuttle fish, Singapore Chilli chicken, fish fillet in Thai red curry. By the time the food was served it was almost 2.15pm. The Thai red curry was hopeless, bland and not at all appetizing. The portions of course were ample and could serve more than 4 people although they say 3. The other stuff were decent, but you have places which can do much better food in Colombo. We were ready to order the desserts and sadly looked like we had only two options, either fruit salad, ice cream, or fruit salad with ice cream. And the waiter informed us that it will take an extra 15 minutes for the fruit salad. Eventually we finished our lunch around 3.30 pm. Food was ok. Service was slow. You can find better food with quick service else where in Colombo. If they don’t get their act together, they’ll get mowed by competition.
