I stayed at the Havelock Place Bungalow for a night. It’s a small and cute place. In pictures it looks really great but keep your expectations a bit low. On the other hand they have great food. For Lunch is had Sri Lankan Curry and Rice And for Lunch I had Sri Lankan Breakfast. Both the meals were great. They also have great homemade icecreams.Worth a try!
I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is excellent and the hospitality is great. However, the choice and quality of food is a little underwhelming. It has limited veg options and three little options it has are not really great. I had the pumpkin pasta – it was a little sweet and not exactly to my taste. The pita bread was also too hard and felt stale. The chocolate shake was decent, though.
Food here is really tasty & atmosphere is lovely. However i feel prices are very high. However yummy food u serve, if it’s overpriced, customer feel ripped off! I wish they could be more reasonable when it comes to pricing so that i could go there often. especially coffee & arrack ice cream!
Here’s a spot with a close to perfect ambience, a spot with a much bigger potential for greatness. It’s almost the perfect spot for a romantic dinner with the real bunglow feeling with a mic of urban nature with the pool added. You can sit anywhere but I’d recommend outdoor reason to feel the breeze beneath all the greenery. The table we had reserved had bird poop on it, and the waiter changed the table cloth immediately when we showed him, but then that nervousness did creep in for a while in case another bird poop did fall :DThe menu is well elaborated, hence making it easy for us to order. We did go for the pork saltimbocca and a poultry dish with mushroom sauce. Then the gnocchi caught my eye and I had to give that a try too. First we received a complimentary naan plate with an absolutely flavorless paste which surprisingly was a good appetizer. The pork saltimbocca was alittle too tender piece of pork wrapped in streaky bacon and salad. The poultry dish was very well flavored with the mushroom taste bursting through the dish, but then I have to give a special mention to their gnocchi. A brilliant dish of gnocchi with a spicy deviled sauce with small bacon stripes in generous amounts. This is one of the must try dishes for sure. Then comes an unhappy part of the bill, which included 5 different taxes! (SC, VA, NBT, LOC, TDL.. Didnt even know what some meant) that’s definitely an area that would a customer off. Ambience gets a 6/5 here and definitely the main draw in an urban area.
