This is a cosy little restaurant, and is one of the long standing restaurant names in Colombo. For comfort food this is the only place I would go to.The food is not too oily or filled with msg. You feel lighter after a meal and not stuffed. The portions are just right. Over the years the taste and quality of the food has remained the same at Fountain cafe.Every time I return I relish every bite. The presentation of the food has never changed and this consistency has kept me coming back.I recently sat down for a quick lunch. We had creamy seafood spaghetti, devilled seer and rice, devilled pork and rice. For drinks it was faluda and ginger beer. For me a must have with their food is some ginger beer.The place has some very friendly gentlemen, and they serve your food with a smile and attend to every request politely.
Food was tast and loved there pork curry . I would say fountain cafe is a place where you can grab a quike lunch in an office hour . Service is little slow . . But they do there maximum. And dont forget to taste the elephant house hot dog with mustard wich is the best in SL
