Chicken Burger was a ripoff at Rs. 600. The taste was okay but it was too tiny (oh and pay more for cheese if you want. :/ ). Cookies n Cream shake was quite good, though I would prefer it thicker. Haven’t tried it yet in this outlet, but if it’s your first visit at any Barista you have to try the Pol Sambol, Egg n Cheese Sandwich cause it’s heavenly. Decent Atmosphere. Free Wifi. 🙂 The Bathroom Door is a bit cranked up but they got some interesting words inside to make you giggle (and guide you right). 😛 Food 3/5 Service 4/5Atmosphere 3.5/5

Good cappuccino. Love the pol sambol egg and cheese sandwiches. They are yum. Glad the cold drinks now come in a container which can hold more beverage, previously it was served in a tall thin glass. The hot chocolate is delicious.

One of the best places to have a late night snack. Peaceful lounge. I go there mostly after 9 in the evening to have a peace of mind while enjoying a sandwich with a coffee or a juice.

Situated in an up and coming stretch of the Mount Lavinia Galle Road (a Subway, Eat Italy and several other outlets jostling for attention nearby) this Barista comfortably holds its own among the competition. The smoking area at this premises leaves a terrible first impression on a customer, as it is a narrow airless glass box between the entrance and the coffeeshop proper. Coming in from the street requires inhaling a lungful of stale smoke first. The other issue is the perennial Barista problem that much of the menu runs out in the mid to late afternoon, leaving the consumer with some guesswork in placing an order. This is one of the larger Baristas in Colombo but it still manages to fill up fairly frequently. I am a fan of the granitas offered by the chain; and the smoked chicken sandwich is pretty good too. A new (to me, at least) addition – baked crisps with the sandwich (just a tad over salted, but not bad).Service was OK – my order was served quickly, but ordering did take some time as the menu was in an awkward angle all around the counter and there was no indication of availability.
