We visited the restaurant on a weekday evening. Lovely restaurant on the beach with a great atmosphere.The food choice isn’t too extensive though.We ordered our food but had to wait around 50 minutes for it to be served.We had the prawn omelette which was extremely bland. We also had the tomato soup. The seafood spaghetti with tomato sauce was good, although there was barely any tomato sauce. It was aglio e olio.I would go back for the vibe but it food isn’t that great.
The food is ok and the place is acceptable but can do better with some better house keeping and new table decor.The advantage is that you can select your fresh seafood and order the weight you want as it is priced in grams. You can then order the preparation you want. A bit like lagoon or seafood cove but in a much smaller scale.The service is good and the team is very friendly.
One of the many restaurants dotting the shoreline of Mt.Lavinia beach, the Boat Haus is unmissable in its signage (and with its bright yellow boat in the premises, you couldn’t miss it if you tried) One of the best things about this location is that there’s a railway track bordered by coconut trees right behind the restaurants.ย Overlooking the balmy beach with the sandy wind in your hair, this place is perfect for a quick stop over after a swim in the beach, even as you see enthusiastic surfers doing their thing. The sea food is highly recommended here. Best suited for lazy afternoons by the beach side.
