So the name is completely misleading, having given the impression of some fancy cafe items being served, but on the contrary, it’s a typical small shop with a fridge in the corner carrying some soft drinks, a few dried up looking buns on the counter and rice packets. Perhaps not such a bad thing in itself if not for my high expectations after seeing their name. It was indeed quite a bit of a let down.I popped by last week during lunch while running some errands hoping to grab a quick bite. Mind you, I had to park much further down Station road and walk up since this is closer to the area where the buses are parked and there was no parking available.Sadly, there was hardly anything on display except a sad little egg bun and some lavaria (sweetened coconut wrapped in a stringhopper casing) and a friendly looking old gentleman reading the papers. He informed me that they did have rice packets though, but I wasn’t in the position to have one at the time.Considering that there is a much larger bakery with a huge selection of reasonably priced buttery pastries right opposite, I doubt I’ll be going here again.
