Just an expensive, low-grade, possibly tourist-trap curry house. I found it surprisingly hard to find simple restaurants when walking through Pettah (turns out they cluster around the station and the old town hall) so I thought I should try here. You get ushered upstairs to the weird dining room and perhaps get given a tourist menu – meat curries were 500+. I got the chettinad chicken and it had a good spicy sauce but the chicken was tough. Rice was extra and they plonked down a large water for one person and then charged me for it. At least they didn’t add tax and service but still nowhere good enough to charge premium prices.
