  Everything in their bakery is just horrible. Except the bread. The bread is very soft. Doughnuts, buns everything are just mehhh. Apart from the bakery the other parts are great.

  As much as I adore this particular Keells Super for it’s speciality cold cuts and extensive selection of fresh meats, the bakery sadly is not on par.Have tried it out quite a few times but been disappointed on most occasions. The short eats are average quality and not particularly interesting and the cakes are very dry. Bought a chocolate cupcake once and was only able to force down half.The breads ironically are really good. They have a good selection, but sadly only a limited number. It’s not easy to get the bread of your choice unless you arrive early in the day. I love the one with cheese on top.The Chocolate Chip Cookies deserve a special mention as they are delectable little morsels, with huge chunks of chocolate. These are sold per 100g and are sometimes available prepacked. They have the assorted cookies too, with tiny bits of candied peel in them, but these are an acquired taste.

  Keells Bakery has a lovely range of baked products for a which is worth for the value you pay. Their dougnut which cost around 80Rs is pretty nice.  Chicken Baguette, Jumbo hot dog & Pol Sambol Pan is three items which i love from them. Also the pack of Kisses (50Rs) is something i never miss. Not only in Kohuwala Keells, as its a chain most the Keells bakery have these (Even in Narahenpita).

  Their fresh bread is quite nice. Their short eats are also okay. But the freshness and quality depends. Most of the time it’s old bread which is used for hot dogs. Tastes utterly useless. The macrons and the sweets are usually freshly baked.
