One the worst places I’ve been to in the Kohuwala region. Full points for location of the place, but really bad seating with drunk looking unattentive waiters. Visited this place with a few friends for some dinner. A waiter took an order and went away with no response for like 30 mins; went to check in and another was like there’s no order made and it’ll take like an hour to make the food. So we just leave the place disgusted. Unless you’re really broke and need a drink, please don’t go for it.
If the bright neon sign didn’t give it away, this is a place for afterwork drinks. Gender balance is a little skewed here, there is no pretence of being a family restaurant. The alcohol is cheap, relatively speaking and the food is greasy Sri Lankan Chinese. I’ve found a lot of dishes to be extremely salty here, making them more bar food than actual restaurant meals. What sets them apart is their excellent location – very close to Kohuwela junction and quite centrally placed.Looks a little better after refurbishment but the place is gaered towards a quick drink and heading out.
It’s a joint basically to have drinks. In the evening its so crowded because of the bar. Food is good and reasonably priced. Tastes well. Only issue is that it’s not a good place for a family dinner outing due to the crowd. It’s a good take away restaurant.
An old fallback for Chinese takeaway, the ambiance of the place does not make it desirable as a place to actually dine out. The food is quite good and tasty and the price is extremely reasonable for food as good as this. However, this has turned in to more of a low-budget bar in recent times and it is not uncommon to see most customers after 7pm are actually there to drink. The portions of the dishes are extremely generous and well worth the money, as they taste great as well. Definitely not authentic Chinese cuisine, but it has a Sri Lankan flavour that is not to be missed.
