After a lovely honeymoon week in Sri Lanka. I decided to treat my wife to her favorite cuisine (other than Indian) Japanese for our last meal here at their Galle Face Terrace outlet. There were many options on Zomato. I chose this place because of the wide variety and fairly extensive menu. I am glad I did. We were there for lunch. And after exploring downtown the whole morning we had definitely brought our appetites (and most importantly, our wallets). If you have gotten this far in the review, there are some bold statements I would like to make: 1) this was some of the Best Japanese food I have ever eaten 2) incredible service from Mr. Chathura ; why? he knows the menu, their dishes, their preparations; my wife and I found him to honest, a pleasant personality and genuinely enjoy his work ; made our meal and experience 5 star ; I highly recommend your asking for him. The dishes that were Excellent 5/5 Unagi Kabayaki — fabulous grilled eel Gyuu no tataki — beef thinly sliced and served with soya based sauce Okonimiyaki — beautifully prepared; enjoyed the freshness of the seafood within Kanten (desert) — incredible, seaweed based jelly made without gelatin ; subtle and delicate flavours and a great palate cleanser ; something I had never happened before We left extremely satisfied and happy. We wish the restaurant and team all the Best.
Authentic Japanese cuisine served in an authentic Jap setting. The place where I sat required you to remove your footwear and sit at this low lying table. The service was impeccable. The Food was quite good too. It’s a different experience and a rather expensive one at that.
Worst Ramen. Worst Price. Worst Noodles,Good Service,Not sure why they charge this amount of money? This is a restaurant. If you do not serve quality food, what is the purpose of your existence? I even thought that it would be tasty since they charge more than places compared to Noodles. Please improve on your dishes then look at how you wanna make your waiters look like agents from MIB. #pathetic place. I have given one star since people who served were really nice, other than that, no plus points
Food was good but service and delivery of meals was very slow. Did not receive one of the dishes we ordered. Very extensive menu to chose from, something for everyone. Popular tourist choice.
