Got here for a dinner date. The place is located at the upperflow of crescat. It got a nice ambience to it. Not so crowded during the weekends. Drinks were reasonable in prices! As for the food we had the smokey beef burgers and the crab kottu( since popular according to most reviews) I gotta say the food was ready real quick after we placed the order. The bugers were super tasty and the crab kottu was exceptional! The bugers were priced at higher rate than mentioned in the menu( starts from 1400rs upwards) Regardless of the higher prices its definitely worth the money. All in all Friendly staff, great service and great food!
Went there for a morning breakfast and was suprised with the quality of the food. The chicken tikka bun was excellent and was soft and spicy. Coffee was not too sweet and gave a nice kick. The winner was the Lamprais, which in short is Srilanka in a plate. This unique colombo dish was just amazing
I was surprised to see the portion size. The portion size of the Crab Kottu I ordered was the size of a small dessert cup. However I started eating because I was starving. I felt a little dryness in the first bite. Felt like it was pre made and they just microwaved it. The egg was little plasticky also. But after pouring the gravy on top, it was more edible. However, the taste was on point. The crab meat was tender and cooked well. They provide some pickled onions with the Kottu dish, and it was also alright. My friend, the diehard Noodles fan had the “Chinese Five spice Beef noodles”. It looked better than my Kottu dish and as for my friend, the portion size was perfect for her tummy. I tried a piece of beef for the first time, and to my surprise it was really good. As for my friend, the noodles tasted really good and it was a perfect match for the beef.read the full article- http://badaginiee.com/2019/05/11/sugar-bistro-wine-bar/
4 for the taste and presentation of the food. I don’t usually give more than a 3 rating while touring but if I return on a good day, I might give them a 4!
