Gorgeous interiors. Exquisite food. Perfect place if you’re looking for fine dining. The service is top notch. They used to serve a tender lamb shank dish that used to be my favourite but for some reason they discontinued it. The final verdict is that 1864 is synonymous with opulent dining. Head to this place for a special event and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
One of the best for fine dining in Sri Lanka. Of I have to put this in simple words food here is amazing. GFH’s finest restaurant I must say. Tuna appetizer was excellent not to mention the presentation of the dish. There is a reply good range of wine to select from. Service us excellent and really amazing service time for a busy place. Staff is really helpful and they know what to recommend based on your mood. My wine glass was never empty until we finished the whole bottle they know when exactly to pour you.Atmosphere is really nice tables are separated from a nice wall. Lighting and the interior decorations bring a cozy but a pleasant ambiance.

Food is just a masterpiece here!! Love the taste. Whatever on the many would be just fine. The meat dishes are better than the veg options as I see it. Priced almost like cinnamon and comes almost to the same level Of it. Do come here. It’s a culinary gem!
Awesome food especially the local rice and curry. Really like their soups and service. Good wine as well. However the waiter did not expalin properly the indian food that was on the menu that was flavour less ( I guess it was a boiled seer fish dish )
