The only place close by in Bambalapitiya where u can find yummy fresh bread , kimbula bunis, cream buns fresh fresh in the morning & also during evening hours. Love their Roast paan which is crispy & has a nice edge to it .
Majestic! This hotel/restaurant/bakery is located just across the Majestic City mall. With the same name.Their price is very reasonable and consider cheap. But the quality is very okay with me, plus the good service, makes this place even better. One of my favorite for lunch.
Colombo is changing rapidly, with new restaurants opening every week. But, Hotel De Majestic has been ggoing strong for more than 50 years. I came across this place during my management classes during 2003/04. The place is usually cleaner and affordable. Compared to many new lunch places, this place is clean and tries to give a faster service. They have been known for their biriyanis and koththus. Their menu comprises of fried rice, nasi goreng, kottus and biriyani. Nice place with attentive waiters.
Very popular place for a long time. They provide good quality Chicken Biriyani and Kottu at any time of the day. Place is not that large and hard to accommodate large groups due to table sizes. They function as both restaurant and bakery and bakery products are worth for the price that any one can bare. Chicken Kottu is my favorite of them.
I was mostly here to grab a quick break during weekend before my CIMA class starts. Always but the Umbalakada (Maldive fish) bun. They also have sodas and milk packets there. Other side of the bakery is the main restaurant. They have quite a good range of lunch options available. I love the buriyani here.
