I first visited Cafe Michelangelo at their Kolpity branch and since then it’s been one of my favorite pizza joints, they have the best pizza in Sri Lanka and their service is really good too. Because of my good experience in the Kolpity branch we decided to try out the branch in Nawala as its a lot closer to where I live. The Pizza was amazing but the place looked a little untidy and seeing a roach in the bathroom really put me off.
The pizzas here are very good – with decent amounts of topping and tasty. We’ve been ordering takeout for a while because of this but their other dishes, like risotto have unfortunately reduced significantly in size, which was quite disappointing. Tastes great but there isn’t much of it.
Best pizza I have ever tried. Sometimes the hot butter cuttle fish is bit chewy. Cappriziosa, Lamb are my favourites. They covers the whole pizza with toppings like no other.
Contrary to your chain of Pizza places, Cafe Michaelangelo is stand alone restaurant which provides tasty Italian food. Their pizzas are thin crust and packs a punch with my favourites being; Margherita, Pollo al Phungi and Tiramisu. Order in advance to make it easier to pick-up.
