  This used to be my favourite my biryani place but not anymore. Today I came here after long time with my mother. We ordered BBQ chicken biryani and I found the chicken was burnt. Rice was ok. Service was poor. We had to ask for water and tissue. Waiter was not looking after us. Overall bad experience.

  I’ve been a long time customer of big bite chain in sri lanka and they were always good. But since recent times the quality of the Rajagiriya Branch had degraded beyond recognition. Last time i bought three biriyani’s from them were the worst. We actually didn’t eat it, we had to dispose them because they were not fit for consumption; Rice was over boiled like milk rice (Kiribath) and it was tasteless as if we are eating dry newspaper. What happened to these guys is beyond my knowledge. They were once a good place where they served humble tasty biriyani for a great price. Now their prices are much higher than others in the same chain as well. After my last buy, i gave them the full stop of never to go there again.

  It’s hard to rate their business more than 3 stars. Their biriyani is good, well it has a different vibe to it than the biriyani at most places of course it is Pakistani biriyani and I like the taste of Pakistani biriyani compared to other types of biriyani you usually get around Colombo. With that said their customer service is non existent at times especially when it comes to the number of waiters who manage the floor. There is at most time only one waiter to server more than 10 to 15 customers but yes, the floor is not always full of customers but there are times where there are many people and the waiter cannot simply manage them all. Not saying the waiters are bad but just That it takes a while for the food. There was one occasion where My meat was not fully cooked in the inside I did not complain and left the piece out as I was there with guests and yes I should have complained totally my fault. I go there several times a month but now I rarely go there. There is a dip in the quality of the biriyani as well sometimes their biriyani is too dry but I think the taste with its spices is better than the typical traditional biriyani you find elsewhere. Their interior was a mess with leaks on the ceiling thus mould and rot. Last time I visited they were fixing up the place so hope fully they will get the interior sorted as it had seemed neglected for many years now.

  Have tried the chicken biryani multiple times and it has a distinct taste and aroma due to the spices used. The chicken was well cooked yet juicy and deserves a complement. However the food is a bit pricey and would be better if they can include some accompaniment such as mint sambol. The place is not ambient as such and the service level could be improved significantly. Therefore the best option is to go for takeaway.

  Worst service. 12 tables. Only 1 waiter. Has to wait a lifetime for the waiter. Taste is also not par with other big bite outlets. Worst experience
