Regardless of whether or not they are a part of the infamous Pilawoos chain, this outlet is the closest place for us when we are craving a good cheese kotthu. Albeit it’s a little further out than our usual haunts, the places in our neighbourhood really don’t do it justice. My husband actually prefers the cheese kotthu from here than the ones in Cmb. Located next to the petrol shed in Ratmalana on the seaside, the place is small and gets completely claustrophobic during the evenings as it is absolutely spilling over with people clamoring to get their dinner. The heat and smoke from the cooking doesn’t help either. I usually prefer to order out of the vehicle so can’t really comment on the cleanliness or maintenance of the place. As always, they’ve got their on and off days but the food is good for the most part.
