This was our go to place after youth group meetings on a Sunday to grab a quick bite to eat. They have since modernised the place somewhat, with new counters and fresh paint, but the food remains the same. Located on the Galle Road, just a little past 4th lane in Ratmalana, Weerathunga’s has stood the test of time. They have continued for over twenty years and will easily do so for another twenty to come. They serve short eats mainly, and have a good clientele from the area around. If you dine in and order short eats, they will serve you a plate with a few items of all they’ve got at the moment. You simply eat what’s most appealing to you and pay for it at the end of your meal. They also bake fresh bread and serve up a good rice and curry.
