I love park street with its many cafes and restaurants lined together in such charming allure. One of the first in the line is Cafe Francais which offers an Italian menu and good classic cocktails. I had stuffed organic chicken with black olive and basil served with mashed potatoes. My classic mojito was good and served chilled, just as I would like. A bit too low on sweetness but lovable nevertheless. What I liked most was that they served a bamboo straw with it and not a plastic one. Extra points for that!

I went to Cafe Français for a lunch on Saturday. The place is really well-decorated and the staff is nice. I tried the steak tartare. Absolutely delicious ! One of the best I have ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this restaurant !!
C’est par un ami français que nous avons eu l’adresse du café français. Nous y sommes donc allés un vendredi soir, pour la soirée « French Kiss » et on ne le regrette pas ! Vers 22h30/23h, le café joliment décoré se remplit d’expats, de Sri Lankais habitués, de quelques touristes et le restaurant se transforme en bar/ club. La musique style deep house est envoutante et porte tout le monde . Le choix d alcool est large. Bref le café français à tous les ingrédients pour passer une agréable soirée entre amis. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée, à danser devant le DJ avec les locaux !!!experience unique si vous venez a Colombo
