Went to this place on a Friday for lunch. The place is located next to a market. There’s ample space for parking in front. The owner as well as the staff great you with a pleasent smile. The owner speaks well and converses in English as well.The place has indoor dining which can house around 15 to 20 guests. The ambience is ok. The place has self service. I opted for the SriLankan rice and curry with chicken. The serving is filling and the taste is very good. The place is well maintained and clean. My friend had a sea food fried rice which was good. The price is economical. Rs 360 for a chicken rice and curry with a bottle of coke.Overall: Good experience.
I have been to J’s Eatery may times and it’s a pretty good place which serves good food. It’s around and the corner of the Narahenpita public market, exactly towards the end. However, it has no connection to the Public market! The shop was started two years ago and as a customer since then, it has had a booming growth. They are opening a new outlet on 17th January at Torrington Avenue. To be honest their food is clean and up to a certain standard which has been maintained consistently. They have rice and curry as well as a eye catching fast food menu from Fried Rice, Kottu, Deviled cuttlefish to Jaffna Style Chicken portions. Their Fried Rice and the cuttlefish portion is damn good and that portion is definitely worth the price. It’s a bit on the high priced edge, but it’s definitely worth the money. If you are around you should definitely try out J’s Eatery! They also serve with a smile! Cheers!
They had better food, therefore we are regular customers for J’s. Today we got J’s  Omlet rice and curry with ants (Lunch 19 Nov 2015). Moreover few days back we got Omlet with too much salt as well.
We were regular customers here and we weren’t able to come here for about 3 mobths. I don’t know why now the quality of food has gone down dramatically. We’ve used to enjoy their fried rice, noodles and kottu but now I feel a real difference. I haven’t tried their juice recently and I hope atleast it is good like in the past. I just wanted to review so that I hope you can improve in future.
