I called on the mobile number which was mentioned in Zomato just to know whether they do deliver. The person who answered phone was so unpleasant and his customer service was so disappointing. Didn’t want to try their food after that conversation.
The only tasty rice and curry seller in the area for a reasonable price. Their fish rice was a frequent of mine. Wrapped in a banana leaf, the rice packs usually have pol sambol, dhal along with a couple of other veggies.Since they use keeri samba the grains are not humongous as at some other rice and curry joints.On days when they have fried potatoes its an extra treat. Be sure to buy before 1pm as the tasty fish rice and curry runs out leaving only the egg or vegg packs.
Used to buy lunch from here when I worked near BMICH. I come all the way hear to buy lunch because of the great food they have. My favourite was the chicken rice. Which I think their signature dish here. It’s a very small place so dine in is not advisable. Buy a lunch pack from here it’s worth every single rupee you spend. Not just the taste the fragrance you get from different curries made me buy lunch everyday.The guy at the counter was really nice. After sometimes I didn’t have to ask for my lunch they always pack a chicken rice before I even gi to the cashier. It’s a must try place
Quite a tiny place at thimbirigasyaya road. The seatings are okay, but what we mostly do is take outs. The food here on an average is good. A little too pricey for what they actually offer. But, every rice parcel is wrapped in Banana leaf and that’s a nice thing. I have tried the fish rice and the chicken rice. And, it tasted fine. But, this place is only good, when you are in the mood for a change, not on a daily basis. Because, mainly what my most friends say, even what I personally feel is that the food lacks the ‘spicy taste’ of the authentic SL food. It would be nice if they’d improve those aspects and also make a little more comfortable seating for the interior.
