I called this place my saviour in the first few weeks of being stranded in Colombo. With every other kadé offering unhealthy quantity or rice with spoon-by-helping of curries, and low adaptability to everyday Lankan cuisine, this place promised idli, dosa and sambar- the kind of food I had practically avoided in preference for roti, chapati and naan. On an average day it bustles with people. Not quite the up-market fancy place you drop by for lunch or dinner, but catering to your hunger pangs in the most basic way possible.Food here is good, nothing over the top but goes well will the lentil curry they serve in bucket loads. As for the experience; I wouldn’t mark it as a ‘must eat’ but food is worth the money.
