  Had lunch here today (25/8) and ordered Rice and Curry -chicken and Strong Tea. Located opposite the Mayura Place, it is strategically placed between M.A.C Bakers and Manahara Electricals. It’s not difficult to find this place, as it is the only place offering Rice and Curry for lunch between the stretch of road from  Park Road junction to Kirullapone bridge.I had visited this place before to take away hoppers, kothu etc for dinner, but this is the first time I’m dining here for lunch. I came here at 3.30 p.m and the place was crowded. While I was eating, more people kept coming here for meals including children from Amal International School. Food:My first point is given for providing a balanced diet, and another for providing keera along with it. Taste wise, each had a different taste, which is how it should be – one white curry, one hot curry, one tempered, one raw and one fried and having all the flavours – sweet, sour, salty, bitter and heat. Nothing was in excess.The tea was great with good flavoured tea. How is it, that the not so posh eating houses provide the best cup of tea? The tea served by Jamaliya was far better , in fact a thousand times better than what was served by Java Lounge.I won’t give them full marks as, at dinner time, they have a tendency to use MSG for almost everything from fried rice, maldive fish sambol, pol sambol etc.Servicei guess I came at a crowded time. They were much harried and needed some reminders. Otherwise their work was good, Each time a customer left the table, they would be busy cleaning the table and the floor.PriceReasonable . My rice and curry and cup of tea cost me a total of Rs. 195.00
