New Hotel Mayuri, is a Wellawatte joint that has long enjoyed a reputation for its kool and other seafood offerings. Their Jaffna kool is available on Sundays, and usually runs out by midday. In addition to the kool their specialities are their Cuttlefish, Prawns, and Crab. The food is kept in display and are usually piping hot. While it is not a place you can sit and have lunch or dinner in leisure, the best thing to do is to take the food home and enjoy tasting every bit of this Jaffna food items in a slow manner. Good affordable non-vegetarian Jaffna food. Definitely try their Odiyal Kool.
