The price is comparatively really low. So I would recommend this for for a quick dessert. But this is really crowded in the evening so I wouldn’t recommend it for a chill out spot. The service is good but the cleanliness can be improved. I would definitely come here again just for a quick ice cream.
One of my favourite ice cream parlour in Colombo. I have tasted different flavours at this place and today I thought of trying Durian flavour and that’s something unique and I haven’t seen in any other place. My choice of ice cream was delicious didn’t disappoint me. It has the flavour of Duriyan and I felt like I’m eating real durian fruit. Always good to go to this place with friends. Sit in outside and enjoy the view and the breeze of Wellawatha beach while eating your favourite ice cream.
We popped into Rio for a Mid night snack. And what we ordered were double chocolate sundae and something which looked like ice cream cubes. We’ll the ice cream really hit the spot specially the ice cream cube. ( I LOVED IT and it was Rs 60) but I wish Rio was a bit more concerned about the hygienic factors. (wash room was smelly and the door not automatic so it’s always open, which would be a ideal place for flies to spread germs / tables were not clean).That’s pretty much bout it. I would suggest it as a pick and go place.
Try the Rio Mega Special for the price you will never be disappointed. The staff service is quick with taking orders and processing. There are many options on the menu. Prices are reasonable as well. A good place to have a tasteful dessert with your family, friends or loved ones. They will arrange it for takeaways as well and there are 1L ice cream tubs available from different flavors.
I think Rio Ice Cream’s Jumbo Sundae is fantastic and I am sorry I did not order it as well, but my Son enjoyed his. Your Mango Sundae was not very good, so try to improve on it
