About
The Pinte la Gole Was founded on 1 May 1962 in Auvernier. Before that, this place was the wine cellar of the Hotel de la Croix Blanche which occupied the first floor. Gilbert Huguenin, a gallerist from the canton, decides to come and wake up this charming village from the bottom. Parallel to the Numaga gallery, which moves from La Chaux-de-Fonds to the heart of Auvernier, Gilbert inaugurates the Pint de la Gole, adjacent to the gallery, to bring a social and convivial note. For fifty years, La Gole has allowed its guests to taste the wines of the village as well as all sorts of drinks. The authentic setting of this place, its old beams and period walls give off a welcoming and warm atmosphere. In recent years, it has become a renowned place to enjoy a cheese fondue known far and wide. In summer, a terrace on the beautiful main square of the village completes its charm.
