The idea for WINGS was born out of the turmoil caused by the instability of the Swiss aviation industry in the autumn of 2001. After the grounding and the collapse of their company, the former Swissair employees faced an unforeseeable future. A small group of pilots and flight attendants reached out to save the very essence that, to many employees, had made Swissair truly unique: the solidarity, the "Swissair spirit", the identification with the company's philosophy. WINGS. A new idea was born. A bar where people can have the sensation of flying and feel the wonder of travelling. A bar offering exceptional hospitality, combined with a social commitment. Eventually, endless discussions and the support of friends and acquaintances from the former Swissair and the whole flying industry have helped to make this vision become a reality. WINGS. The first authentic Airline Bar&Lounge in the city of Zurich has taken off for a long journey with you as our most appreciated and welcomed passengers.
