The head chef, Kato of Tokyo, came to Bangkok with the ambitious dream of building a restaurant to celebrate the beloved food of his homeland. Gyu Ichi is his vision realized. Kato refuses to serve anything but the best--his striploin is imported from the United States, his wagyu from Australia! And the flavors! Kato has spent years perfecting the glazes and sauces of yakiniku, each individual slice of meat is a testament to his creativity and craftsmanship. His belief is quite simple: By using the finest of ingredients he can craft the most delicious cuisine!The Gyu Ichi experience is incredibly fun and hands-on: you do the grilling and you control the flavors of the sauces by adding garlic, chiles, and more to your liking. If you do have any questions, or just want to know how Chef Kato prepares his food, the friendly Gyu Ichi staff will do everything they can to help you cook your meat and concoct the perfect sauce!
