First place I went when I arrived in Mae Sot. Thai food is delicious, especially the Pad See Ew and the Massaman Curry. Prices a little above the average but Worth it.
A bit tough to communicate with staff. And the atmosphere is kind of antique. But food are delicious. Seafood penne pesto, King thin pizza recommended. But what I love the most is Beef Mussamun curry.
We did not like the Pad Thai at all, to us it was one of the worst we have tried in Thailand. And the places are higher than other places in town. A bit disappointed by the visit.
Baifern has a good mix of Thai and Western foods with plenty of vegetarian options as well. I’ve never tried the Western food here (because why?), but the Thai food I’ve had has been great, particularly the green curry. Nice place with friendly staff. 🙂
the chef made quite an impression on me 😉 His cooking was just what I needed. I got to swap recipes with him. Ate here several times.
