Housed in a single storey stone building reminiscent of a barn conversion, Ta Mekan with its high wooden beamed ceilings and blazing wood fireplace for winter dining and the delightful shaded courtyard for the summer provides a perfect setting for dining out. Inside, the restaurant has a very rustic feel with exposed wooden beams and trusses, complimented with wooden furniture and sofas. An interesting design element is the mezzanine level that has been created to make the most of the spacious feeling created by the high ceiling whilst, at the same time, creating a setting for more intimate dining for special occasions. The fireplace with its blazing wood fire is a focal point. Imagine sitting in front of the crackling log fire enjoying a pre dinner drink. In the summer, you can dine or sit in the courtyard with its shady canopy, tables, sofas and quirky decked corner.
