Famous in Samsun, we tried the oldest Çalıkuşu restaurant. The taste was average, service was quick. Prices were cheap compared to big cities.
I had lunch here today. There are so many doner shops to choose from. The sandvic doner was tasty and the service typically Turkish: friendly. Language is no problem, they invite you to point at what you want on your sandvic.
If you want great samsun doner I recommend this place. Upstairs is a bit cramped but it is worth it!
