Konyal 1897 founder, great grandfather Hac Ahmet Doyuran (1st generation), who immigrates from Doanbey county of Konya in 1895, opened a moderate cook shop with the name of 'Konya Lezzet Lokantas' in Sirkeci, Istanbul with four tables and 16 chairs in 1897. After a while, he hands over the restaurant to his son-in-law Mr. Mustafa Doanbey(2nd generation). The reputation of first registered Restaurant in Turkey spreads with the efforts of Mr. Ahmet Nurettin Doanbey (3rd generation) after the 1940s. The 122 year old institution is currently operated by the sons of Mr. Mehmet Eren Doanbey (4th generation), Mustafa; Tim Eren; Ahmet Can Doanbey (5th generation). The establishment is honoured to serve families from all over the world.
