This fancy pricey restaurant is located right next to Pantocrator Church (Zeyrek Mosque). It has a wonderful view to the East and the Suleymaniye Mosque, and is probably very popular with some tourists. However the service is truly awful. No matter how well you are dressed, if you have small backpack you are not treated with respect. Let's warn our readers about this bad restaurant. A much better choice is the very authentic, welcoming, and very reasonably priced restaurant one block further down the street called Zeyrek Cafe. What a contrast, and what a wonderful find. Its location in the historic Zeyrek District makes it a great place to enjoy a very tasty meal served by friendly staff. I highly recommend Zeyrek Cafe instead of Zeyrekhane Restaurant.
