What’s special about a place like little Havana is that the minute you walk in, it feels like you’re in a warm little homely cave away from the madness outside. Afas, the manager of the restaurant, was a delight- he recommended some great items that we tried and he even helped us plan the rest of our trip. One of the highlights of my meal was the chicken saffron. The dish has subtle flavors and went perfectly with the Turkish white wine that was recommended by Afas. If you’re in sultanahmet, you need to stop by the Little Havana- even if it’s just to say hi to Afas. Because he’s just that friendly.

Eat anything and everything the guy here who owns this little cozy place suggests his name is efes. Even if you are a vegeterian you won’t go back dissapointed like I didn’t.
