Located in the very heart of the Old city, in the former German House one of the architectural gems of Chernivtsi. Positions itself as an art and literature caf, but in fact its a posh restaurant. Very exquisite interior and dcor in the Austrian-Hungarian style of the Habsburger epoch creates strongly favourable first impression. Cuisine is largely Austrian, with few Ukrainian entries. On the day of our most recent visit half of the menu was absent, and the cook was unforgivably relaxed. Full bar and an extensive wine list.
