On the way back home stopped at Boom Land to pick some Iftaar items for the family. They had the regular stuff, samosa, Fried Chili’s, Pakoda, Bhajias and more. Got a mix of all items and the bill came to just AED 10 which was a super bargain We were pleasantly surprised as all items tasted fantastic, the Samosa was superb chili awesome and the bjajias were perfect. Will be definitely coming back for more

Nice small place on muroor where I eat to save some time from cooking since its so boring sometimes. They have different meals ready for the day. Stuff like roast chicken with two parathas and curry. Good nice heavy dinner for 11dhs. Pretty affordable for a dinner I believe. Their beef fry is good as well. Try the dosa sometime instead of the paratha, much healthier and much more fun to eat. Definitely worth visiting once if you are on a tight budget.

A small place with some nice Indian food. Had breakfast from here and it was nice. Nice dosas, puri and porottas. Cant accommodate more people as it’s a small place, but food is good.

  • Budget Is Best

Simple, small (has 6 tables that can each seat 4), clean restaurant with can’t-be-beat prices for good, authentic south Indian food. Mind you, about 3/4 of the items on the menu are not available :), but whatever is available has always been good, and comes quickly. Dinner for 3 people, with drinks, can be had for less than aed40. Non-Hindi/non-Urdu speakers would have a hard time communicating, but they are always patient with us! :)Update: we went again last week (mid April 2015), and this time there was a tie-wearing man there who spoke English and made sure this Malaysian, African American and two middle-aged white guys were well-taken care of! :)Update: 25 April 2015 – they have Thali! That is to say, this simple set lunch served on a steel multi-compartment plate, for all of aed8! Yes, that’s EIGHT DIRHAMS. Comes in veg version, or veg and fish version. Loved the flavour of fried fish and the fish curry, but boy did they have many, many, many tiny bones!Update: 27 July 2015 — not only is it a great place for cheap, good eats, Boom Land is also a terrific place to make friends, including Emiratis. On our first visit there, we had been informed by an older Emirati gentleman that most of Boom Land’s menu was non-existent, but what they did serve was very good. Well, we bumped into him again this last time we went. This time, I did not make the mistake of not asking for his name and for him to join us. He had eaten, but he sat down to chat with us, and regaled us with many great tales of the UAE, both of days gone by, and the situation today. Not only that, he paid for our meal! Next time it will be our pleasure to buy him a meal at Boom Land. 🙂 Oh, and this time, I made sure I got photos taken (see below).
