Food – 3.5/5Service -4/5Ambience – 3/5Parking – Paid Parking AED 3 per hourHaving gone to this place since childhood (it’s old location was near Farooq stores near Meena Bazaar), I expected the taste to remain the same for the Manakish I have had as a child. I was a little disappointed as the taste levels have deteriorated and ofc the price levels have gone up over time.Nonetheless, the chicken + cheese Manakish is what I’ve always ordered, at AED 6.30, 2 slices is what you get and it’s quite alright. It’s best for takeaways as there is only seating room for about 5 people in total on 2-3 tiny tables put there. The manager is welcoming and you are not really treated like filth like how most joints nowadays do.
A small eatery located at the corner of a building in town centre of Al Ain. It’s 2 minutes walking from the famous Abu Dhabi motors showroom. People usually go for takeaways here since the outlet has chairs for only around 4-5 people.Al Tanoor is known for its Meenakeesh. What’s Meenakeesh you ask? Well it’s a type of Arabian pizza. There are variety of toppings to choose from which include cheese, cheese and meat, chicken etc. Apart from that, authentic Lebanese Shawarma is served here! It has both options- beef and chicken. The beef Shawarma is just amazing. One of the best I’ve had so far. Chicken Shawarma too is pretty delicious. The sauce and fries in the Shawarma, ofcourse along with the Grilled Chicken, make it lip smacking. The staff can be a little arrogant and need to learn hospitality. Pricing is totally value for money with Shawarma priced at 5 dirhams. If you’re in Al Ain..then this is worth a try!
Hidden Gem, One of the best Restaurants in Al Ain for Zatar and Shawarma. Only downside is the place has no seating arrangements and take away is the only option. On Thursdays expect Shawarma only till 10 pm. Do not forget to try their Arabic Shawarma and any variety of Zatar
