This cafe is conveniently located near Madinat Zayed. My husband and I visited on a Friday morning for some tea and bites. Parking was not hard to find. Our order: Karak TeaOman Chips ParathaChilli ParathaPros: – Tea was well prepared. – The sandwiches were yummy. – The service time was not too long. Cons: Cleanliness! The cafe had an open kitchen through which we could see houseflies buzzing over unkempt shelves of fruits and food items. Plastic cups were thrown around. The chefs preparing the sandwiches were not wearing any headcovers. It was a dim and dismal kitchen that was an unpleasant sight. Makes you uncomfortable to eat the food coming out of there. The tables and floor in the seating area were not clean either, and the state of hygiene in this cafe had me decide not to visit again. With a beautiful streetfront location like this, I’m sure Platinum Cafe can do so much better with improved ambience and hygiene.
