I love this place. Especially for a late breakfast or early lunch. Delicious sandwiches, meats and a large selection of fresh and healthy juices. The place is clean and kindly.

It is love for coffee that drove me to Cafe Bateel. But unfortunately, the reality did not meet the expectations, neither the order – value for money.The enthusiasm of the service personnel sure needs some boost, but it was almost 10 we got there, so I’m gonna let it slide. But this lack of enthusiasm is not reflected in the service which is quick and efficient.The ambience is calm and peaceful but nothing worth mention. The outdoor seating is a bit cramped but offers a view of the Corniche.We ordered Date Dhibs coffee (?) Which is coffee layered with date syrup and topped off with cream; sticky date pudding with Fro-yo and ice cream; and a small flask of Qahwa.Let’s start with the good part – The Qahwa. It was quite smooth with no residue or bitterness but the coffee was way too mild. When asked, they said that you have to mention how strong you want it while ordering. Generally, the clients prefer mild coffee and so if not mentioned it’s served that way.The date coffee and the pudding were not really worth the price, and honestly the coffee tasted pretty much any instant coffee you could buy off the store shelves.I would definitely go back for Qahwa, but that’s about it.

I went their for breakfast. The outdoor area is nice with seaview. I liked Their egg benedict dish. The other dish is enough for two. It comes with foul,labneh and halloumi cheese. Overall it is recommended.
You only really go here for the view of the corniche. The food is not that great for the price you pay. I wasn’t fond of the short ribs I got. The cold coffee is not good, too sweet and they use chocolate syrup for their cafe mocha. The serving size is also quite small. The hot chocolate was creamy but not chocolatey/rich. It was just cream and sweetness. I expected more since they sell their own chocolate here as well as dates.The service, today on our second visit it was terrible. We had to wait a good 20-30 minutes for someone to get our orders. We have no napkins on our tables and no one bothered to offer.
