An authentic Japanese restaurant located at Hilton. My friend and I spent quite a while deciding on a place to dine at as we wanted to have some good ramen. We were so glad we decided on Toki cause the ramen was really good!! We ordered 2 Shoyu ramens and the Miso ramen, and we had 2 of the dishes made veg and they were delicious. The service is really good and so is the ambience. They have separate smoking/non smoking seating as well. Definitely a must try!

I’ve always been a big fan of Japanese Cuisine that’s why I was so disappointed after trying this place considering it having a high rating. Their makis are nothing special, the ramen lacks flavor and the price are a bit too much. I’ve been to a lot nicer japanese restaurants with budget friendly prices! Definitely not recommending this place ☹️ sorry!

  • The Crazy Kiwi Abroad

My favourite Japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi. It’s a very authentic setting and the extensive menu is delicious! The staff are always attentive and even have bells on the table in case you need something. I generally eat sushi and sashimi when dinning at Toki but their mains are also great. My favourites are:1) tuna & salmon sashimi2) all of the maki rolls

This is one of the few places that can actually said to be Japanese Food 10/10Ambience and cleanliness 10/10Staff 10/10Price for food 10/10We ordered Shrimp popcorn Chicken yakitori with teriyaki sauce Mix sushiChicken katsu curry Toro salmonDrinksShogun ( Japanese soda )Geisha ( this was a bit too sweet for me )

  • Food-Time

Very authentic restaurant and served quality food but let down by poor service. Staff could have been a bit more attentive. Had to ask for the bill twice and ended up ordering drinks at the same time as the food because we waited so long after being seated.

Very overrated;Food : 6.5/10Ambience: 8/10Cleanliness: 7/10Prices: 8/10Staff: 3/0At one point this was a good restaurant, nowadays its far from what it used to be. The food is passable, pales in comparison with high quality Japanese restaurants, the ambience is nice however they will give you a hard time over getting a private room as they like to pretend that the restaurants is busy, I wish they put more effort in cleaning their restaurant as you can find dust at times and the rooms are hot so they offer you a cheap air conditioning unit inside. The prices are above average for the low quality food. However, the worse thing about this restaurant is the staff, as I was surprised by the way the staff would treat their customers as if they were charity cases. I tried to follow up the issue with the supervisor at the restaurant, Monica, only to be called a stupid customer and how she doesn’t care, i asked to talk to someone to the higher ups only to be told that they are in the Philippines and I should go somewhere else. As this is a Japanese restaurant and the Owner was a humble Japanese I expected a very welcome staff that could show a taste of Japanese hospitality. If you really want to try an authentic Japanese restaurant with great food, ambience and welcoming and respectful staff; I definitely recommend, Tori Na Su ( Very closeby), Zuma or Koi

To be fair after giving so much praise and a little scorn to other Sushi establishments in Abu Dhabi the Ambitious Glutton felt that Toki should get a review. While maintaining sushi counter is the best sushi inspired informal dining in Abu Dhabi, Toki would be the Ambitious Glutton’s favorite formal sushi dining option. Staff are polite and the resturant has a Japanese feel, but the Glutton cannot comment to how authentic having never been to Japan. Sashimi was astetically pleasing as was the texture and taste. Price was pretty fair too.
