Probably one of the worst chai places in town, rude staff and long waiting time even though limited menu. Took more than half n hour for 3 chai and 2 sandwiches and order came in separate batches.
I went to Chai Qissa specially to try out their matka chai and absolutely loved it. It had a very unique rose like flavour along with the classic karak flavour due to the edible flowers sprinkled on top. The karak tea was great too!
Its small budget friendly place. I have ordered punjabi samosa, dal vada and masala chai. The quality of samosa and vada is an average. They should improve the stuffing of samosa. Masala chai was not bad, but I would recommend to try the matka chai if you are chai lover.
Their tea is addiction. It’s near my house. Twice a day is a must. Now they remembery order and brings to me directly. They have small, and medium & large size teacups. The cup is nicely finished.
Mudqa Chaya from @chaiqissa for Aed 6. Traditional Chai served in a mud cup, garnised with edible flowers. The Chai has the epic Karak Chai flavour. The mud cup, brings out a special taste for the chai. Should definitely try once. Small little place tucked away in the lanes of Khalidiya hard to find I’d you dot know where to look.Heard a lot about their clay pot special tea with some 16 spices and wanted to try for a while. We were in the area today stopped by for a cup and some samosasThe presentation of the tea was superb but unfortunately taste didn’t match. It tasted watered down wasn’t packing a punch and sadly served lukewarm instead of piping hot.Samosa was crisp and hot with average taste. We were quiet let down by the hype
We went there for trying their famous karak. We felt it wasn’t worth the high price. We tried some other Malayali snacks like elayada, vada etc and those were pretty nice. Their pyaz dosa also was alright.
