My sister and I went here craving for authentic Chinese foods and we were not disappointed. What I really loved about is the ambiance and the friendliness of the staff. Not a fan of the seafood “spicy” noodle soup, based in oil, which made me think that I should’ve ordered an egg drop soup instead. Although the noodle and the generosity of the seafood is superb! Loved the chicken served in a wok. Yangchow rice didn’t meet my expectation compare to the ones I had on other restaurants. Nevertheless, I will still come back.

If the cook is in a good mood, food is great, if not: not so much. apparently the cook was in a very bad mood when we came. Let me start with that our party of 4 left half of the dishes on the table and we were considering going to McD, to be at least not hungry any more. The hot and sour soup: neither hot (spice wise) nor sour. there was one dish which was ok, the others were just not good, and in one case didn’t even match the picture in the menu. In Summary: I don’t recommend to go there.

We got into this restaurant by mistake I must say. When we got in we saw only Chinese customers and wondered if we would be able to withstand real chinese food. The menu was quite easy to understand but we realised it wasn’t pocket friendly. The place was full of Chinese tourists. The staff are not very fluent in English but nevertheless they were helpful. We ordered seafood dumplings and chicken hot and sour soup. The dumplings were 12 in number and surprisingly very very yummy especially with their dip. It is a must try. The soup wasn’t very much to our expectations but it was ok. The quantity is enough for 2 or 3 persons.Try this place if you want some real authentic chinese food.
I’ve been to China Friends for a dozen times. My family loves to eat here. We always order the same dishes but today we tried something new, braised fish fillets in chili sauce which was good. I highly recommend their hot and sour soup and century egg with green peppers however this time there was an odd taste with their century egg. There are times that the food tastes good while sometimes it’s too salty. When it comes to service the staff has always been nice and accomodating. If you are looking for cheap and tasty Chinese food, China Friends is the place.
