Good food & service initially until this big size waiter came spraying his table cleaner while I’m still drinking!!Spoilt the overall good experience!
Came here for lunch with my boss. We shared pork spring rolls and each had a pork batchoy (Philippine style noodle soup). The food was nice and prices reasonable (a bit higher than independent Philippine restaurants but expected given it’s nice location in the hotel). With fresh chili the batchoy has a nice kick to it. The downside came at the end of our lunch when the waiter advised that it is not possible to re-issue the bill for us to use the Zomato discount. I couldn’t understand why that was not possible but, whatever, will use the discount if I return.
My husband and I decided to avail of their dinner buffet and enjoy a live band at the same time. Ambience of the restaurant was pleasant (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) and the servers were attentive especially the kuya (who I missed to know the name of) visited our table twice to check on us and invite us to get some lechon. Because of this kuya, we’re rating their service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Overall quality and taste of food is just okay (⭐️⭐️⭐️) – not exceptional but can adequately satisfy your taste buds if you’re craving some Pinoy food, although the fresh-from-the-kitchen whole lechon de leche didn’t quite hit the mark of the traditional lechon which we usually enjoy in fiestas in Pinas in terms of crispiness and that special taste brought about by the variety of spices and herbs used in seasoning its meat. Halo-halo station is a plus – enjoyed it!Entertainment (⭐️⭐️⭐️) – The male singer has an exceptionally good singing voice although their interaction with the customers/audience could be improved.
As usual food is great. We ordered Crispy Pata and Pork Liempo and the taste reminds me of home. I will always come back to Kuya Juan for their amazing food and their hospitality. Just a bit slow service, I think they are understaffed. Feel sorry for the servers but they still manage to smile and be nice no matter how busy and demanding their customer can get.
The food and ambience is superb! Kuya GODWIN and JUDIE are very warm and accommodating. The food reminds of home, very delicious and serving amount is justified for its price. Definitely will come back here!
The food were just mediocre. Not able to enjoy it as well due to bad service of the waitress. She just literally put the food at the side of our table. Also, it seems she didn’t knew what shes doing since we always need to ask for the basic things thats should be available, like the spoon and fork, or even the condiments. Would never comeback on this restaurant. Pricy for a poor service and mediocre taste of food.
I celebrated my birthday here. I bought a voucher from Groupon which cost AED500 for AED1000 worth anything on the menu. We planned our order ahead and based the prices here in ZOMATO. only to find out that the prices are totally different once you arrive there. I even questioned one of the staff named PRINCESS and she blamed me. Like hello?? before I booked, I called them several times and no one informed me that prices from ZOMATO are different from their current prices. How would I know? They should be the one to inform their customer first. I was really ready to shake it all off because I don’t want to ruin our night but what pissed me the most is that she seemed arrogant and she wasn’t apologetic at all. And also, to those who are planning to celebrate their birthdays here, please note that the cake has a corkage. (50AED) They told us that if we will just blow out the candles from the cake, then no need to pay but if we would eat the cake then we would have to pay. So what happened was, one of my guests sliced the cake and fed it to their baby, one of the waiting staff named GODWIN, immediately came to us while we’re taking photos, laughing and enjoying the moment. He wants us to sign some kind of waiver for us to pay the corkage because the baby was fed with the cake. I mean, He could have just waited until we’re done, right? it’s not like we’re gonna run and leave. Lastly, Out of the voucher we have which has AED1000 worth value of food, We exceeded around AED500++. so we need to pay the excess, so basically we paid the same thing. AED500 from Groupon plus another 500++ excess in the restaurant. upon paying, This PRINCESS wrongly debited a wrong amount to my card and told us that if we won’t get the refund then we just have to go back there AGAIN REALLY? WHY? why would she cause us another problem when it is not our fault? For our overall experience, Ambience was good. The band was good, food is good but not that amazing. So if your planning to spend your special day, you should be the one to adjust because the staff is not willing to adjust for you. You should plan ahead, I suggest that you should go there, check the correct prices. ask if there are any additional charges so you won’t get surprised once you arrived there.
