  We had the weekday business lunch a month ago. Between the two of us we ordered different options off the menu, all delicious. Ask to be served by Abinash – very knowledgeable and courteous. Spaccanapoli never disappoints.

  LocationThis Italian restaurant in Crown Plaza hotel is situated in the middle of the city in Hamdan street.ExperienceRecently visited this restaurant for dinner date with my wife and baby for our 5th wedding anniversary, I have been here quite a few times but only for drinks, but this time it was my first time dining experience. As we entered the hostess greeted me and my son, as we have the reservation and the restaurant wasn’t so busy so hostess offered us to choose our table upto our choice. Later on my wife joined and we changed the table because she wants to sit somewhere near the window. The service was professional, bread basket, olive oil balsamic, and the roasted garlic is something which is amazing, as it suppose to be and the food was great, we ordered for mushroom rissoto, and a pizza, quality of food & beverage and the selection of the menus were up to the standard, I will recommend the place for a great Italian food.But few things to be noticed, the quality of the menu wasn’t so great, I mean the pages were dirty and not in a good condition.And another thing while booking the table my wife mentioned that we are celebrating our anniversary, so it would be a great gesture if there was a small cake or pastries, as my wife wanted to surprise me, and she expected that something will come for sure. (For the hotel management) Do not take this as a complaint I am also from the hospitality industry, so sharing my reviews.ServiceAs I mentioned earlier service was great, staff was smiling warm welcoming and knowledge equipped. Will be visiting again soon in future.

  Me and a friend tried the wine and cheese night at this place since we had entertainer plus we were looking to try something different.First off the selection of cheeses. No doubt that for someone who is new to this; the selection cheese was just right and not too much that it could be overwhelming. I was particular to the soft cheeses like camembert and brie. The former having a milky creamy texture while the latter had a bitter afteraste but it also had truffles in it which was addictively good smeared on toast.They also have some potatoes and I kept going back for the potatoe jacket and onion marmalade which has this savory sweet combo that was delicious. The creamy cheese fondue slathered on plain baked potatoes was not bad as well.Amongst the cold cut meats, I preferred the spicy spianata and pancetta. There are other cold cuts like smoked veal, bresola and turkey ham but I prefer the cuts with stronger flavors to complement my bread and spuds.Not much of a wine drinker but I noticed that I enjoyed it more when it is chilled. My friend says the selection is decent, the taste of the wine was smooth.Overall. This was an awesome first time experience doing cheese and wine night and we can’t wait to do it again.

  They have started a new concept,The duplex buffet.Guests can enjoy 2 buffets ,in Spaccanapoli and Cho Gao on Fridays,you can either sit downstairs in Cho Gao or upstairs in Spaccanapoli.to be honest I’ve eaten so many buffets in Abu Dhabi,found this one of the best.Food was neatly arranged and named with the waiters and manager to help you out.Both the Italian and Far East food was excellent,even though we don’t eat there was ample seafood options,the place was full.Highly recommended.
