One of the best Thai restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Excellent food and attentive staff. Our waiter Bandara was polite and extremely helpful. I highly recommend their papaya salad and chicken cashew dish which is one of the chef’s specials.
Staff Bandara wqs very helpful and vigilant; when we needed something he was there. The food is consistently good at Benjarong and the staff overall very polite. Will always recommend Benjarong and Bandara in particular who was excellent at his service delivery.
Beautiful food and the service is top notch. Special mention to Pongpit & Milo who looked after us during our recent dinner. If you are after authentic Thai food then Benjarong is the place to go. Highly recommend.
Rating: 4+1 star, for the explanation read on.First, a disclaimer: My Thai food taste experience is based off of eating at Thai places in US, so I probably have no idea what authentic Thai food tastes like.We had a very pleasant visit to Benjarong, where we went for our wedding anniversary dinner. I called ahead to reserve a table and requested a corner table, mentioning that I’ll be visiting with my husband for our wedding anniversary dinner. When we arrived, we were shown to our corner table and were attended by two of their very friendly staff. The service was impeccable – the servers were attentive, friendly, and polite. One of my pet peeves is if a server reaches over the food to pour water or put the food on the table – not at this establishment, which I was happy to note!Their menu has enough variety of dishes to chose from. We ordered a couple of starters (chicken satay and shrimp roll). The dishes were tastefully decorated and had a pleasant subdued flavor. The shrimp roll was perhaps a bit too subdued in flavor – I would have liked a touch of spice, chilly or tangy to add a dimension to it.For our main course we ordered sea bass with lime sauce and a chicken dish (perhaps kung pao, not sure). The chicken dish was good, but I would have liked chicken to be a bit softer on the inside. The binding sauce was good. The sea bass was perhaps a bit too authentic for us, but given our inexperience in authentic Thai cuisine, I won’t factor it into my review. We found the sea bass to lack a supporting structure – the fish itself arrived with skin on and separating the skin was quite a task. The sauce on the fish was very thin flavors were predominantly lime and fish sauce, which neither me nor my husband found to be easy on our palate. If I do return, I wouldn’t be ordering this fish.At the end of our meal, the staff brought us a chocolate cake with happy anniversary written on it! The cake was soft and had very good texture – bordering on the mousse but with more structure.In the end, I would have rated my experience 4 star, but the attention to detail shown by the staff in serving us and the excellent ambience of this place, I will add another star.
If you want to eat the best Thai food in Abu Dhabi , Benjarong should be your choice. The authentic Thai food comes with amazing hospitality.
One of my fave cuisine is Thai food. When me and my hubby travelled to Phuket, i really thought I can’t taste the authentic Thai food especially my fave Tom yum soup, unless we travel back to Thailand, then one night we stumble to this restaurant and realize I’m wrong. I can get that authentic Tom yum soup and all Thai food cravings in here . It is truly a Thai food heaven.This is by far the best and the most authentic Thai restaurant we’ve ever been in Abu Dhabi. Plus the fact that it is located inside Dusit Thani with such an elegant ambiance and the service is a top notch . I Really recommend this restaurant 100 %.
