I visited today 26 Feb 2018 at around 3:35 pm. My bad rating is for the experience as I was kept on hold for some time waiting to receive my change and I didn’t receive my exact change because they are out of coins.This was not my first visit but definitely it is the last, as I don’t like feeling ripped off even for small change.

If you have lived in the UAE for more than a month you should know what Harees is. It is almost the de-facto national dish of the UAE and is very hearty and delicious.Served mainly in Ramadan, occasions and when guests come over, its a thickened savory porridge made with a form of barley and lamb meat.Harees Al Fareej if the best place to get it in the capital. Its lamb based not chicken based which is a plus. They smother it in ghee which is hiw it should be served, and most importantly it seems to be beaten by hand or half by hand which really does give it that unique consistency.Putting it in a food processor simply turns it into a baby food paste which Harees Al Fareej doesnt do.If you have not tried harees and do not have emirati friends whos house you can visit and try, this is the best option.
Their Harees really compelled me to write this review, to be honest, the taste and texture are superbly pleasant for your taste buds. I’ve tried a lot of Harees from various restaurants, theirs is by far the best. Totally recommended!
