Very Unwelcoming!26.10.19 – My family and I decided to celebrate my best friend’s birthday here. Why? – because this year we both traveled to Morocco and discovered how good their food was, therefore we decided to look for tagine and also because I’ve won 2 complimentary mocktail vouchers from The Galleria that I can use from this restaurant so why not use it on her birthday. The moment we arrived, I asked one of their crew if we can use the voucher and he said “No. Come back on Wednesday it’s for ladies night.” I got confused because there’s nothing on the voucher that says that. Then after few minutes another guy came to intervene. He said “Yeah u can use it, but what do you want to drink, this or this?” – in a very irritated voice. Take note he was asking me to choose from the picture of the drinks you can see on the voucher while we were standing from the door of the restaurant still. – At least let us sit and show us the MENU so we can choose. The restaurant was so empty and yet no one wanted to “entertain” us just because we don’t look like “we can afford to eat in their restaurant” – BTW we were dressed nicely for the celebration. However, my mom had already lost her patience so we decided to leave and eat somewhere where we can have a proper celebration. Long story short – We had the drinks but not the food that we were craving for just because of their bad service and very unwelcoming approach. Will NEVER recommend and visit this restaurant again.
Giving this place a 3 only because I have such massive love for their La Vie En Rose drink (management team, if you’re reading, reconsider the size of that drink for its price). This time, I’ve decided to try their soup and some chili potato on the side. Simple right? (That soup is the national soup of Morocco, so in my humble opinion it should’ve been flawless), well, it wasn’t good at all. The soup arrived 5 minutes after ordering it and it wasn’t hot all the way through which makes me believe that it was microwaved. Nothing about the soup was fresh; shockingly bland. The potatoes were nothing special either. Nevertheless their drinks and shisha are quite good if you’re seeking a go-to cafe.Quite disappointed.~NOT Dana’s Choice
The location is kinda swanky – chill. Sheesha was alrit. Lamb tagine was ordinary and bland. Service was really good though. Staff were prompt and attentive. Our server had a Mohawk of sorts. Anyways was it worth the price??? Not so much.
Having shiaha and morocan tea in Almaz at Abu Dhabi Galleria Mall, amazing shisha, amazing place for shisha watching the abu dhabi sky line highly recommended
Spacious restaurant and Shiha bar with indoor and outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the waterways. Warm and friendly staff who are attentive without being in-your-face. Tried their eggs Benedict and it was good but pretty standard. My friend ordered a Moroccan style omelette in a tagine. It was pretty nice and so was the cheese platter. The shisha was good. This place isn’t cheap but then you are paying for the location as well.
