Everything about my visit here was perfect. Usually the ambience at shisha cafes is lacking; dimly lit and full of smoke. Lotus cafe was a pleasant surprise. Spacious, clean and with excellent shisha. We ordered grape mint shisha which was very smooth and affordable at AED 35. They have very nice offers of drinks + shisha or food alone. The staff also are very friendly; we were visited many times by the manager who made sure we were comfortable and were enjoying ourselves. She noticed the games we were playing and offered some of the games the cafe has. One other thing was that our ID’s were all checked to make sure we weren’t under 18. Quite flattering but I wasn’t aware that this was a common issue in Abu Dhabi?In terms of food and drink, the chocolate croissant that we got was slightly bitter (I think it was dark chocolate). The fries were also quite salty. The tea and coffee were outstanding. The Lotus Latte was not named after the cafe like we assumed but was actually the taste of Lotus biscoff. Definitely a new thing to try. The Mocha frappe is also something worth trying. We had ordered karak chai which they don’t have but a nice alternate is their Lipton pot which is beautifully presented in a tea pot with candles. Good for 3-4 cups. We also tried the Fruit Berries pot which was unfortunately not our cup of tea (pun intended!) Still, it was beautiful to see. I think this is my go-to spot every time I visit Abu Dhabi.

They use coconut charcoal which is more soothing and better than the regular charcoal.If you register here, you get 6th shisha free.Must tryUpdate on 03 sep 2018: tried the persian rose tea which they give with a timer of 5 mins (see pic) to brew properly. Tastes good and smells like a rose garden with real petals and buds inside the pot at AED 20.00. Worth it.Also you can get fresh baked croissants which is amazing.
