Having tried a few restaurants for Chicken Lollipops, would rate this a 4*, considering the size, quantity and price. Can improve on the sauce which is being delivered as a side.
Of all the many budget Chinese restaurants dotted all over Abu Dhabi, these guys are my favorite for cleanliness and consistency in taste over time.This little restaurant is situated opposite the Beach Rotana Hotel in the Khalifa Complex next to the City Terminal in the Tourist Club Area.The restaurant is not large by any means and it does get crowded on weekends and holidays.They have a very extensive menu and serve close to 300 dishes!! They serve both Cantonese and Schezwan dishes. They have recently updated their menu, but have retained all their old dishes. The food is flavorful, is freshly prepared and the portions are extremely generous.They serve a selection of chicken, fish, beef, lamb and beef.Starters: – Their steamed dumplings, though slightly on the doughy side are delicious and pairs well with the house chili sauce. 4/5They have started selling momo’s and we tried them on the servers recommendation and they are better than the dumplings. 5 / 5 – The Prawns on Sesame toast are nice and shrimpy – 4/5- The dynamite shrimp is delicious, but the sauce could be a little more tangier. 4 / 5 – The Prawn Spring Rolls are nice, but a bit too oily for my taste – 2.5 / 5Soups:I have tried their soup, but personally I would pass on it.Main Course:Ill just list my personal favorites:Mongolian Special Chicken – 5/5Chili Chicken / Prawns – 4/5Manchuran Chicken / Prawns – 5/5They do serve duck, but the one time I ordered it, i found it to be too dry.The Crispy Beef – 5/5 (Also, doubles as a great starter!)The Shredded beef with green peppers 5/5The Mongolian Spare Ribs 5/5 (This is a must try here and is quite delicious. It is a huge portion and is good to share)They do serve lobster and crab though I have never ordered it here.They also serve whole deep fried Hammour which is quite popular here.The Hakka Noodles and the fried rice are tasty and again generous enough to share.Always been too stuffed to try their desserts!!My go to budget Chinese eatery.Two Thumbs Up!!
